Explain the purpose of the Boxers and draw connections to the Taiping Rebellion
Answer the DBQ prompt in such a way that demonstrates the student's understanding of the unit as a whole.

Detailed Description of Schedule:
1)Hook Activity - On the overhead or blackboard, the teacher should post the following: How are the Boxers similar to the Taipings? How are they different? Knowledge of the Boxers should come from the previous night's reading.
2)DBQ - Follow the instructions on the DBQ portion of this website to complete the activity. Students should use their scaffolding worksheet as well as access to this website to re-examine the DBQ documents and other module materials to answer the DBQ questions over the weekend. This will be a graded essay.
